If you've talked to the other Muse trainers, they probably go on about art bringing beauty, and cheering you up, and blah blah blah...

I think they're missing the point. The purpose of art is to make a connection from one person to another, on a level that you can't achieve just by talking. Now whether you use that connection to inspire them, or to render them helples, well, that's up to you.
