The Manduri Problem
ID 1302 importantQuest Dialog 11 page(s)
Dialog
The air around here grows thinner with time, your character. Aether thrives where life is abundant, and dissipates where it is sparse.
I remember standing atop the fortress when I first came to Eltnen, and seeing nothing but a lush green canopy.
So vibrant, so full of life; I could feel the Aether folding around me as I moved. Now the deserts have spread, and the Aether has dissipated.
Dialog
Yes. My songs are empowered by Aether: where there is plenty, each has a marked affect. Where there is little, my songs are much less powerful.
Recently there is something else at work though. Many of us have noted the drop in Aether; even the Qooqoos are acting strangely.
Phomona, one of the Daevas in the forest, has also been reporting strange happenings.
Ask Quest Accept
The Manduri have been spooked, and have started attacking the trees. The Elim have noticed.
Actually, there's no sense in me telling you. Phomona is not far away, and I'm sure she could do with an extra pair of hands.
Would you like to look into this for us?
Quest Accept 1
I like to see a strong sense of duty, your character. Especially one backed with a resilient spirit and a sharp mind.
Now go to Phomona. She's normally found standing next to an Elim on the path to the Manduri Forest.
Quest Refuse 1
Ah, there was me getting all caught up in the moment again. I felt sure you would say yes.
If you are busy, don't let me stop you. I'm sure I'll find another to help. I just hope we can address the problem before it's too late.
Faith and arms, your character.
Dialog
You come from Clio. She attracts Aether like worms attract birds, and you have Aether's grace swirling around you even now. Her brilliance has left a mark on you.
I knew she would send someone, she is too competent to do nothing.
I share her concern: remnants of Aether flap lifelessly in the wind here.
Reward
Yes, it was the Manduri, but there is no need for panic. The problem has been addressed; tell Clio I feel the Aether calming.
You though...you still carry that touch of Aether. I will keep an eye on you, child. I may soon need your aid. When I call on you, you will come.
Faith and arms, your class. Faith and arms.
Summary
Meet Phomona.
Clio asked you to help Phomona, a Daeva based within the forest.
Complete
A Daeva of Song named Clio felt something strange in the flow of Aether, and thought that there might be a problem in the forest.
She said that Phomona, a Forest Daeva, might need your help. You agreed to visit Phomona and see if she needed help.
Phomona told you that the problem had been caused by the Manduri, and had already been solved. However, she did say that she would bear you in mind if any other problems arose.
