A guardian has many responsibilities. Sometimes they guard fellow Elyos. Sometimes they guard fortresses, as I do. Sometimes they guard the entire world of Elysea, which is the most dangerous task of all.

Abyss Gate. This is the pathway through which Asmodians can invade us. But another thing is Aether.

The Abyss Gate is like a graveyard of Aether, in truth. The power of Aether disappears into it, and sometimes fragments containing the power of corrupted Aether rain upon Atreia. This is why many Guardians are stationed around here -- we don't want anyone to get knocked out from raining debris.

I'm glad you asked. We don't have enough Guardians on hand, and have been looking for Daevas to help us out.

Seek out Guardian Hynops. He's been keeping watch since the Abyss Gate was formed, but now he's understaffed.

To find him, head straight up.

That's right, straight up! Time to put your wings to use.

No need to be afraid, your character. If you look around in fear, you will end up heading to where you look. Just keep an eye on the target, and leap!

You were sent to help? Well, about time! I swear, if more Daevas witnessed an actual accident around here, I'd have volunteers lining up!

Well, get to it, then. Those fragments need to be destroyed before they lose their power and plunge to the ground.

And make sure you rest every now and then. I'm not fond of irony--I'd prefer it if you didn't fall on some poor unsuspecting people.

Falling hurts, how's that?

Look, the only real danger to them is that they may fall and hurt someone. They're just bouncing out here from collisions within the Abyss. The thing is, we don't know when they'll fall, because the floating ones aren't stable.

And to make things worse, we're suddenly having a shower of them! I can't figure it out, and don't have time to!

Right, listen carefully. You can destroy these fragments however you want. Sword, arrow, spell, you name it. Up close, far away, anything works.

Just pay attention to your stamina, and for Aion's sake, if you get tired, get yourself down to a safe height before it's too late!

Once you've taken out enough fragments, report to Kairon.

Those fragments are very worrying. They are swords hanging above our heads, ready to strike without warning. Sadly, few are willing to help remove the threat.
