I've always thought of the Manduri as hopelessly cowardly creatures, and yet they've mustered the courage to take shelter in one of our abandoned villages. I heard they even attack travelers, and loot them! And to think they used to cower at the slightest trace of humans!

They don't even belong in Eltnen. Their natural habitat is limited to Heiron.

Odd, isn't it? They should know we'll take it back, yet there they are, acting as if they own the place.

Centurion Maximus says we can't spare any Guardians, but he suggests we gather a force of our own and drive them from the village without official support.

No, of course not! The Manduri can't be allowed to impede trade routes to the Fortress, at the heart of our military base, no less!

Oh, and one more thing. Archelaos, one of our scouts, has seen paper gliders flying by near the village. It's probably nothing, but check it out.

The Manduri, you see, were once Humans. Years ago, Lady Yustiel gave the villagers the Life Seed, along with the duty to protect Eltnen.

But we were fools. We ignored her orders, and used the Life Seed for our own petty ends. Eltnen suffered because of our neglect, and as punishment, Lady Yustiel turned the villagers into the Manduri you see today.

Please. I want to make it up to my people, and seek forgiveness from Lady Yustiel. Help me get out of here.

Aurelius told you the Manduri had become violent and were attacking Eltnen residents, then asked you to cull their numbers. You returned to Aurelius, only to hear that paper gliders have been appearing in the the Manduri village.

After finding a paper glider, you found a person named Melginie locked up in the Manduri Village food stores, and learned that the Manduri were originally humans.
