Ugh, it's so hot... How can a continent that spent the last thousand years underwater be this hot? It's not natural.
Actually, it really isn't natural--I've been investigating this very thing, since the heat just seemed to be getting worse... You know what it is? It's the Coruscating Thorns. They give off such excessive heat that the area around them is completely barren... Honestly, they're part of the reason this desert is expanding.
Can you bring me a sample? I just need a fragment from one of them. Be careful getting close to it, though.
