According to my research, those items are associated with a Guardian that protects Krotan Refuge.

Though those items only existed in records of yore... I have no idea why they would suddenly appear in the present.

After we captured the fortress, we discovered Krotan's Crystal Sword embedded in the ground out front. It was engraved with a variety of strange patterns.

The patterns on the sword match those on your Krotan Spirit's Soulstone.

You are the only one who has both the Krotan Spirit's Soulstone and the Krotan Spirit Pendant.

Try taking the Krotan Spirit's Soulstone and using it on the Krotan Crystal Sword to find out if it has anything to do with the Guardian.

1. Take the Krotan Spirit's Soulstone and use it on the Krotan Crystal Sword to summon and defeat Krotan Enraged Guardian. Then talk with Latir who appears after the battle.

2. Talk with Hildebrant who appears when the Asmodians capture Krotan Refuge.

Talk with Staff Operation Officer Hildebrant of the Krotan Fortress and carry out a special mission.

Staff Operation Officer Hildebrant of Krotan Fortress asked you to use an item associated with the Guardian to obtain information on the creature.

You used the Pendant on Krotan's Crystal Sword in front of the fortress and it summoned a Guardian. When you defeated it, the Fortress Garrison Captain appeared and surmised that there must be someone who summoned it there in the first place.
