The New Year Festival is my very favorite holiday!

You know about ascension Blessings, of course. Daevas give children--especially the well-behaved ones, like me--Kinah and blessings so we might ascend someday!

Last year I received over five hundred thousand Kinah in blessing money.

It's a combination of blessing money and the blessing itself that helps us to ascend.

Are you willing to give me a blessing?

All year long, my parents tell me to study Soul Healing or Manastone Removal, but then when the Festival comes, they send me out for ascension Blessings.

Does that sound weird to you?

Anyway, how much of an ascension Blessing do you think you can give me? You know, prices have gone up quite a lot, I've heard....

The New Year Festival is an event held at the beginning of each year where people bless children to ascend as Daevas and give them blessing money. Give a child a blessing and Kinah.

It is a tradition in Atreia to give ascension Blessings, along with some blessing money, to Human children during the New Year Festival held at the beginning of the year.
