Dialog

Nice to meet you, your character. I've heard much of your deeds out here.

Actions like yours are what allowed us to achieve great results in Katalam. I hope to see you do more of the same.

Dialog

select1_1

We've almost caught up with Beritra's army, and we're fairly certain we know where they're going.

If not for your help, we might still be floundering around the Pentachroma Coast. Instead, we're planning to take out the Beritra troops in Enshar, and preparing for the final advance.

What worries me is that we don't know what ancient being lies in the ruins... We've come this far, but the truth of that power still eludes us.

Before we begin our advance, we have to find out for certain what Beritra is after. I'm making this your sole task, your character.

First, go and see Theodoricus. He said he had something to tell you when you arrived.

I suggest you devote all your attention to this mission, Daeva.

"Yes, Governor. Blood for blood!"

Dialog

select2

You've just met with Governor Vard, I presume. Nice to meet you--my name is Theodoricus.

People call me a prophet, but anyone who is sensitive to the flow of Aether should be able to tell you as much as I.

Dialog

select2_1

A mysterious energy flows in Enshar. I felt it the moment I arrived here, and worked hard to read its flow.

It took me some time to study it, but I soon realized that it was mixed with Aether--the same Aether you discovered in the Ancient Crystals, your character.

But the source of this energy isn't Aether. This is something different, and I think it could be the very being we are searching for.

I can also feel the currents that flow between the Tejhi, clashing and colliding like waves on a stormy sea. The Tejhi must also feel this power... And therefore, I believe they must know about the Ancient Crystals, as well.

Most of our leaders think of the Tejhi as primitive savages, but I think to dismiss them as such is foolish. We are new here, and if we seek to understand this land, we must first turn to its people.

I suggest you go see Daruku, your character. Ask him your questions about the Crystals and this mysterious power.

"Now you're making sense."

Dialog

select3

I overheard your people talking about the Ancient Crystals.

We have knowledge of them...

But your people don't seem to trust us very much, Wingback. Why should I help you?

Dialog

select3_1

Ah... My ears hear truth. You are the one who aided Elder Muratun?

Yes, you are different from the others we have met... The rest of your kind, and the furry ones who look to part us from our possessions.

I wish to help your kind through you. That is why I wanted to meet you.

Dialog

This tale is deep, like the sea itself, with many ripples to consider. I will try to keep it brief.

A long time ago, our people suffered tragedy from the power of the Crystals. Since then, we have chosen those among us who are sensitive to that power, and trained them to trace it, to track it... In this way, we can prevent others from using this power.

The ebb and flow of the water from this land makes it difficult to trace a single current, but there may be some who still are able. Speak with Bakorn, one of our trackers. He may be able to help you.

"Thank you."

Dialog

select4

Oh, are you your character, Wingback-stranger?

Thank you for helping Elder Muratun.

I hope I can return the favor.

Dialog

select4_1

...I sense the power flowing out from this cave, yes.

Though not as powerful as in the abyssal depths, it's still strong enough that I can feel it easily, even among this unnatural heat.

It is not my calling to enter this cave, Wingback, it is yours. I wish you luck... But remember, some currents are strong enough to drag you beneath the waves.

"I'll... remember that, thanks."

Progress

select_success

Welcome back, your character.

I sent you on that mission for a reason, but I'm really glad you're back... It's hard to find decent help without you!

What do you have to report?

Reward

select_quest_reward1

Orissan...! That means we were right to worry, your character. The creature sealed away, the one Beritra has been after, is... Ereshkigal. How did Tiamat manage to seal away a Dragon Lord?

To think we might wind up facing not one Dragon Lord, but two...!

Fine, then. So be it. No matter what we face, the Empyrean Lords will be with us!

Complete

quest_complete

Governor Vard, deciding that the highest priority was to find out what the power sealed away was before Beritra got to it, sent you on a high-priority mission to find out all you could about the Ancient Crystals. You spoke to Prophet Theodorcus, who told you about a Tejhi named Daruku who might know something helpful. Daruku told you about the Tejhi Trackers, and recommended you find Bakun.

Bakun told you he could trace the energy of the Ancient Crystals to a mysterious cave, and warned you about what you may find when you entered. Once inside the cave, you overheard a conversation between Orissan and Beritra's general, and learned that Beritra intended to set Orissan free as well as whatever being was sealed away.

You returned to Governor Vard to report what you had learned, and Vard surmised the creature Beritra is trying to free must be none other than Dragon Lord, Ereshkigal.
